You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does – Job 1:10a-b NLT.
I have always loved Job’s account in the Bible not because he was wealthy or he stood firm where many would have been shaken. I love this passage of Scripture because GOD is vouching for Job. GOD is the One that brought him into the equation and satan’s response is what puzzles me every time, “You have always [not sometimes, but always] put a wall of protection around him and his family.” This means every time satan tried to approach Job the wall was there, every time! What was it about Job that earned him this level of protection or favor?
Verse 1 informs us that Job was blameless and upright, feared GOD and shunned evil. This is what set him apart. Proverbs 2:7-8 in the NIV tells us the benefits of being blameless and upright. Those that are completely surrendered are always looked after by their GOD. Daniel when thrown into the den of lions was not fearful because he said he was blameless before GOD and the king. That’s the reason he gave why the Lord rescued him.
GOD allowed satan to test Job, but not to touch his life. For me personally this means storms will come because my foe has accused me before my GOD, and my Redeemer allowed the testing, however satan can’t touch my life because of the wall of protection. Every trial or persecution I will face my confidence is in the knowledge that my GOD is aware and has allowed it. In that time of distress my solution is just a prayer away (Psalm 91:14-15a NIV) and my comfort is that in my weakness His power is fully manifest (2 Corinthians 12:9). No matter what the enemy throws at me I will stand firm because my help will come from the Lord, the Creator of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:1-2). These are the benefits of those that are blameless and upright, the sons and daughters of the Most High.
Those that are completely surrenderemd are always looked after by their GOD
