Romans 5:17 AMPC
We have received abundance of the grace of GOD to reign as kings in life. God’s grace enabled us to be sons and daughters of GOD, but also has made us priests and kings to Him by Christ. God’s grace is an enabler, empowerment, to be and to do what He made us for. It’s His grace that enables us to fulfill His will, purpose and plan according to Ephesians 2:10. This is why the Scripture says that it is GOD who works in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure.
Brethren, we have not been given [abundance of] grace in vain. It is to do what the Father wants us to do, to serve and to worship Him acceptably. Paul says the grace that was lavishly bestowed upon him was not in vain, but he labored much more than all the apostles of the Lord. He knew what was given, what he received, why it was given and he believed it. He also knew that if he did nothing with it, or less than expected, he would have sadly received it in vain. This knowledge and attitude propelled him to do more in the name of the Lord. Now abundance of grace was not only bestowed upon the apostles of old, but to all them that believe. This includes you and I.
Paul and his ilk, faced mammoth challenges on their journey of faith but they conquered by the grace that’s given to all of us abundantly. The Word says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ.” He has given us abundance of grace, and through this causes us to triumph always. Christ has made us priests and kings to our GOD, and has bestowed upon us abundance of grace and of the free gift of righteousness to reign in this life always.
All those that are born of GOD are victorious and overcome the world, and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world – our faith. Hallelujah! This is thumping great news. We are overcomers, conquerors and victors over life and the world. Let us now be steadfast, immovable, stand our ground and stamp our authority. GOD is King of heaven and we are His kings on earth to rule it like He does heaven. By grace through faith we are unstoppable! Let us be steadfast in faith and immovable against anything that’s against the will of GOD for our lives.
He has given us abundance of grace, and through this causes us to triumph always
