He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength – Isaiah 40:29.
Most people when asked why they didn’t pursue their dreams, whether it was to be a sports personality or become a musician or in any area of gifting, will tell you about resources or funds or the pressure to get a job or study something that would “bring money home“. We all have some kind of excuse or reason (most are valid). I know this was the case with me, if I didn’t have the kit or boots, it was transport on weekends or late afternoon after matches or practice.
In Christianity we have been equipped with everything to run this race successfully, He has given us the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness, so when we fall, we should get up and keep running, no excuses. He has also given us the gift of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby, who is Jesus’ representative here on earth (John 14:26 AMPC). The Holy Spirit also causes us to remember everything Jesus has taught us on how to run this race successfully as He is our example (Hebrews 4:15).
When you feel tired and weary, take a nap at the feet of Jesus, get up and eat (feed on the Word of GOD) and keep going (1 Kings 19:5-8), be steadfast and determined to finish strong and victoriously. He has given you all things, He’s cheering you on, even when you feel like you’re down and out, He’s ready to give you the power to keep going and increase your strength. The whole of heaven is cheering you on (Hebrews 12:1), keep going and make sure you finish strong.
Be steadfast and determined to finish strong and victoriously
