Kingdom Order: Authority

Kingdom Order: Authority

Ref Ephesians 3:14-15

GOD is a GOD of order and excellence, and He works everything in accordance with the counsel and design of His will (Ephesians 1:11 AMP). Therefore in all the churches of Jesus Christ there is divine structure and order. As the church, we are God’s spiritual family here on Earth, Him being our Father and the Head of all things in the church.  Ephesians 5 gives us an allegory of marriage between man and wife to explain God’s relationship with His church, His spiritual family. There are reciprocal responsibilities for GOD and us, His church. We’re to be obedient and submissive in everything, whilst Jesus loves, nourishes and cherishes us. He takes care of us in every conceivable way. He gave Himself for the church and purchased it with His own blood.

Furthermore, the church is built on those who, like Peter, have a revelation of Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18 AMPC). This has reference to divine headship or leadership. GOD has given to the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the equipping and perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry and for the building of the body. GOD calls, chooses, appoints, and anoints leaders in the church. This leadership order is critical and key, and must be observed and discharged properly and orderly. GOD blesses order.

Leadership has responsibility and accountability for you, and in turn you’re responsible and accountable to your GOD ordained leadership. We must therefore be rightly placed in the church and rightly related to spiritual leadership. You could be in the right church, under the right leadership, but with the wrong attitude. This is unprofitable for you! If we do not go according to order in the church, we give the devil a door to bring confusion, division and destruction. In the absence of order, there is chaos.

The church is a collective; we do not have floating agents in the body of Jesus Christ. Nowadays the devil has crept in the church and is comfortable because there is deviation from the kingdom order of things. Satan’s singular interest is to split, divide and destroy the church, but a church united in Spirit is an undefeatable force. GOD provides, sustains, blesses, protects, guides, and leads you in accordance with the church He has planted you in. “Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing,” Psalms 92:13-14. Just as you’re born to a physical family, you’re born again into God’s spiritual family on Earth – the church of Jesus Christ. The church therefore forms the basis for your nurturance, growth and development to spiritual maturity. Outside this structure as a Christian, you’ll wilt and eventually die.

The church therefore forms the basis for your nurturance, growth and development to spiritual maturity
