Can These Dry Bones Live?

Can These Dry Bones Live?

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it” – Luke 15:8 NIV

I have always found this parable very fascinating and my challenge has always been taking the Word literally. This scripture simply implies that the woman, though she loves all her coins, she leaves the others alone just to pursue/look for the one missing coin. Applying this to my life, it means even if every single person on earth had rejected His sacrifice, Christ would still have died on the cross for me.

How many of us truly believe this? Truly believe He would have left heaven with all of its glory to come and suffer for only me? If I genuinely believe this I know that this GOD loves me intimately and would do anything for me, even die for me. If then He loves me at that level why then would He not take care of all my needs. Because I know this, Romans 8:28 makes sense because why would He sacrifice so much just to forsake me now?

“I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me” (John 11: 42 NIV). Christ knew how much His father loved and cared for Him hence He could confidently make this statement. It is when you realize and understand His love that you can have this type of confidence. Because of this love we have the confidence and assurance to come before Him and offer our prayers. We have faith that what we ask for (in line with His will) will be granted and we have confidence to speak our desires into existence.

This spirit of faith stems from us knowing and understanding His love for us and our confidence makes us to speak life and reality into every situation. We change our situations by our confessions and what we speak. A friend of mine used to say that when you want something you must speak it and the universe hears you and  grants you your desires. If a non-believer understands the power of speaking, how much more should children of the living GOD be speaking things into being. “Son of man can these bones live”? Can they truly live? Prophesy and speak life into your seemingly dead situations. What do you have to lose? Taste and see that the Lord is good. He dares you to taste.

If a non-believer understands the power of speaking, how much more should children of the living GOD be speaking things into being
