“This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again. For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:10-11 NLT
“It seemed like a dream, too good to be true, when GOD returned Zion’s exiles. We laughed, we sang, we couldn’t believe our good fortune. We were the talk of the nations— “ GOD was wonderful to them!” GOD was wonderful to us; we are one happy people.” – Psalm 126:1-3 MSG
In our Christian walk, there comes a time of exile that GOD allows, we rarely know or get to understand , fully, why unless the LORD reveals (1 Corinthians 13:9). Our part is just to trust GOD and believe that no matter what we go through, it will work out for our good (Romans 8:28). Until this day, we don’t have an absolute answer as to why Job went through what he went through, but we know that he came out better off after what he went through. GOD loves us, and when we reckon with this reality, we will trust and believe that He knows what He’s doing.
Every trial has an expiration date, according to God’s calendar. He has made everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11). You will laugh again, you will sing again because GOD will do exactly what He has promised. He is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind (Numbers 23:19). Enter into the joy of the LORD, He has set a table for you in the presence of your enemies, He has anointed your head with oil, your cup runs over (Psalms 23:5). The unsaved world will see the goodness of GOD through you, GOD has remembered you.
GOD loves us, and when we reckon with this reality, we will trust and believe that He knows what He’s doing.
