“The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” – Genesis 39:2 NKJV
“..And he was there in the prison. But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” – Genesis 39:20b-21 NKJV
Wherever Joseph found himself, The LORD was with him. He went from the pit to Potiphar’s house, to prison, and to the palace and the LORD was with Him. GOD has promised to never leave us nor forsake us wherever we may find ourselves (Hebrews 13:5). GOD did not promise us an easy ride or a problem-free life, but He has promised to be with us throughout the journey. Our part is to only remain in Him and to remain steadfast in the faith and trust that GOD has promised us a joyous ending.
“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”” (Romans 4:20-22 NKJV). It is easy to waver at the promise of God when things look contrary to what He has promised, but we ought to keep our eyes on the One who has promised, for our faith to be strengthened and when that happens, we will give glory to GOD. When we give glory to GOD it means we are fully convinced that He will do what He has promised and unbeknownst to us it is accounted to us for righteousness and GOD is pleased.
There’s a purpose for everything you go through, not only for you but also for others. “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring it about as it is this day, in order to save many people alive.”(Genesis 50:20). What you thought was meant for your harm, GOD will turn it around for good and use it to save many people alive. People will come to you for solutions, people will want to know how you got through what you got through, and when that happens, it’s your opportunity to lead them to Christ and to share with them that it was because GOD was with you and that He is still with you and He has promised that the best is yet to come!
