Divine Hope Does Not Disappoint

“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” – Matthew 8:2-3 NKJV

I’ve always thought of God’s promises to be like being pregnant, you know that there will come a time for that which is in you to be birthed. There is a certainty that the time to give birth will come. “A woman, when she is in labor, has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.” (John 16:21 NKJV). Just like with us, when our faith is stretched and we feel the pain, we have to know that our time to give birth is near and our joy will be full. This is the hope that never fails!

“Shall I bring to the time of birth, and not cause delivery?” says the LORD. “Shall I who cause delivery shut up the womb? ” says your God.” (Isaiah 66:9 NKJV). What GOD has allowed us to pass through, no matter how painful it has been, He will deliver on His promise. This we can be sure of, Why? Because GOD is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent (Numbers 23:19). We, first of all, need to know the One who has promised is faithful and true, then we will know that the One in whom our hope is in, never fails. The things that are obstacles to us are not obstacles to GOD.

The biggest thing that stood out for me when it comes to the heroes of faith, is that they knew their GOD and that gave them confident hope in Him. The Word that GOD has given us will carry us to the fulfillment if we believe that He’s able and willing to do just what He has promised (1 Timothy 1:18). We just need to trust and believe that not only is He able but that He is willing to deliver on His promise. Just like with the leper in the above scripture, even today, He is willing. So no matter what you have been through, keep the faith and hope alive, because this divine hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5).

The Word that GOD has given us will carry us to the fulfillment if we believe that He’s able and willing to do just what He has promised
