Led, Taught, Instructed, And Guided

“Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.” – Titus 2:15 NKJV

One of the hardest things that we generally struggle with as people is to be led or to be told what to do, we are all generally after our comfort and to be able to do what we want, when we want, and how we want to do it. This is why I believe Jesus says to us that if we want to be His disciples we must take up our cross daily and follow Him (Luke 9:23), we have to be willing to let go of our comfort. So, when we follow Jesus, it’s His ways that we are required to follow for us to be effective in the Kingdom.

“Refusing constructive criticism shows you have no interest in improving your life, for revelation-insight only comes as you accept correction and the wisdom that it brings.” – Proverbs 15:32 TPT

“If you love learning, you love the discipline that goes with it— how shortsighted to refuse correction!” – Proverbs 12:1 MSG

We all want to live an improved life and a life that will ultimately glorify GOD. The Scripture tells us that this life comes by accepting correction and this correction comes with wisdom. It also tells us that when we love learning, we are to love the discipline that comes with it and that if we refuse correction, we are shortsighted, other versions say, we are stupid.

“Now all discipline seems to be painful at the time, yet later it will produce a transformation of character, bringing a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who yield to it.” Hebrews 12:11 TPT. The Scriptures are very consistent when talking about correction and discipline. It’s not pleasant at the time but it’s for our own good and we have to accept it and let it do its work. GOD has even raised up leaders whom He has equipped to be able to carry out this correction and discipline. These leaders are there to lead, teach, instruct and guide us for our own good.
