“And he who wins souls is wise.” – Proverbs 11:30b NKJV

“Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.” Daniel 12:3 NKJV

“Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: ‘The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying, “What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?” So he said, “I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.’” But GOD said to him, “Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?” So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward GOD.’” Luke 12:16-21 NKJV. This rich man is a perfect example of what it means to store up riches on earth, this parable also tells us how GOD reacts to this greed and foolishness.

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” Matthew 6:19-20 NKJV. The word of God tells us that our riches are safer in heaven than here on earth. We ought to be using whatever resources that we have to serve GOD with, to win souls and to store up treasure in heaven. We all need to come to the realization that we are only here on earth for a short while and everything that we may accumulate will be left behind when our soul is required of us. “And he said: ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.’” Job 1:21 NKJV

I’m reminded of how I used to attend a home cell when I was newly born-again, and it was only possible because someone allowed us to use their home every Tuesday night. We also have a part to play, whatever we give is an investment in souls when sown in the right soil. However, when we withhold, we miss this opportunity to play our part. Each and every one of us has something to give, and it could be that seed, that you despise that holds your breakthrough. When our focus shifts from ourselves and to the assignment of winning souls, God calls us wise, and we are rich toward GOD.

Whatever we give is an investment in souls when sown in the right soil
