“For thus says the LORD, ‘When seventy years [of exile] have been completed for Babylon, I will visit (inspect) you and keep My good promise to you, to bring you back to this place.” – Jeremiah 29:10 AMP
“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” GOD, your GOD, says so.” – Amos 9:13-15 MSG
These past few years have been challenging, so challenging that I questioned so many things that I had believed about my faith and about GOD. Other Christians that I interact with, also had similar questions. The one thing that kept me sane was remaining where GOD had planted me and that’s where I received answers and the strength to keep soldiering on. Until today I still don’t have all the answers but GOD has spoken that the seasons have changed.
It was a struggle and a battle to receive what GOD was saying for the new season because of all that had happened in the past couple of years. Can GOD really make everything right again? How can I even trust Him after all the disappointments and unanswered prayers? Will I dare believe GOD once again when He says that our time of deliverance has come? Jesus wept over Jerusalem because they had missed their time of visitation (Luke 19:41-44). May we not miss our time of visitation due to the disappointments from the previous season.
“Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” John 16:20 NKJV. The world mocked and rejoiced over our weeping and lamenting. Many asked, “where is your GOD?” GOD has heard our cry and is making things right for His people, He is turning our sorrow into joy and giving us beauty for ashes. Our time of exile has come to an end, it won’t be long now, GOD is doing it quickly!
May we not miss our time of visitation due to the disappointments from the previous season
