It’s That Simple, Isn’t It?

It’s That Simple, Isn’t It?

“And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The LORD blessed him, and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy. He had possessions of flocks and herds and many servants, so that the Philistines envied him.” – Genesis‬ ‭26:12-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Anytime that the Word of God is declared over a nation or His people, great joy and hope falls on those who have been patiently waiting to hear what the LORD is saying. With that said, it is also a good opportunity for us to hear what our part in the promise is. All promises of GOD come with an instruction, guidance, and a kingdom blueprint. Issac was blessed beyond measure in a time that was humanly impossible. The land in which GOD asked him to remain in was desolate and seemingly unlikely for anyone to prosper in but GOD gave him a simple instruction which he obeyed. “So Isaac stayed in Gerar.” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26:6‬ ‭AMP‬‬.

How often is it that we miss our seasons of divine breakthrough simply because we are unable to follow instructions? We rely so much on what makes sense to us that we struggle to see any other way. Sometimes GOD will ask us to stay in jobs we are unhappy in because He knows what is coming our way through those very positions that He has put us in. But because we see things through our own eyes and experiences, we make decisions that end up setting us back years from where we would have been had we obeyed the instruction. This goes for business, relationships, ministries, etc. and we all know that once you miss your season, only GOD knows when the next one will be.

This is the perfect time to align ourselves with the Almighty and to be in His presence to hear what He has to say. Sometimes all that He requires of us is to seek more of Him or to be still in the midst of a storm or to move with more love and patience in life and even perhaps to just be kinder to one another. One thing I have noticed with us human beings is that we love taking the complicated route in life. It is hard for us to believe that we can prosper without blood, sweat, and toil, and yet the Word has told us that “It is the Lord’s blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭10:22‬ ‭GNT‬‬. All things belong to GOD. And it is His favor upon our lives at any given time that blesses us beyond understanding. We need only to align ourselves with His Word and His plans. To do what He tells us to do no matter how seemingly ridiculous. It really is that simple.

All things belong to GOD. And it is His favor upon our lives at any given time that blesses us beyond understanding. We need only to align ourselves with His Word and His plans
