Fear vs Faith: Battle Of Powers

Fear vs Faith: Battle Of Powers

“For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, And what I dreaded has happened to me.” – Job 3:25 NKJV

“Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” – Mark 11:24 NKJV

The devil has been stripped of his power at the cross (Colossians 2:15), so the only power he has over a child of God is the power that we give him. We have already been given victory through faith (1 John 5:4). This then means that we get to decide whether to believe GOD and in His power, or to fear, which is doing the exact opposite, believing in the devil and his counterfeit power (that which we give him). We can either walk in the victory won for us on the cross or walk in fear and live defeated lives. The choice is ours really.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV. Does the enemy steal, kill and destroy? Yes, he does! But there is One that is greater who has come to give us life and that we may have it more abundantly. Again, we have a choice. Will the enemy try? Of course he will, but “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17 NKJV.

Choose today to walk in faith, to believe in GOD, to believe in His Word. His Word tells us, that when we believe, GOD is able to do what we are believing Him for. When we believe God’s Word, He bears witness to His Word with signs and wonders,  various miracles, and gifts of the Spirit according to His will (Hebrews 2:4). Faith rests in God’s power and fear rests in the devil’s counterfeit power. So who’s report will you believe? That will determine your victory or your defeat in the battle of powers.

Faith rests in GOD’s power and fear rests in the devil’s counterfeit power. So who’s report will you believe?
