What Do You See?

What Do You See?

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the LORD, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” – II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV

“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” – Proverbs 4:18 NKJV

I’ve often heard it being said that it is important how you view yourself. I remember growing up and seeing people with confidence and charisma for the level that they want to be and not where they are. I remember one of the guys in my street back home, used to wear a suit to work every day, he had just finished Matric and got a call center job, but he saw himself as one of the big shots in the company. It’s a pity I haven’t seen him in years, but I strongly believe that today he’s well on his way to his dream.  How do you view yourself? What has GOD said about you? Have you reckoned with it? Have you taken GOD at His Word? Do you see yourself as the Scripture/GOD sees you?

There are rewards hidden in a set apart life, when the world is moving in one direction, we ought to be moving in the opposite direction. We are people of faith and we live in God’s reality for our lives. What the world calls success could be seen in God’s eyes as failure (Luke 16:15b). Our lives are hidden in Christ Jesus, it is in Him that we should live, move and have our being. It is when we behold Him that we become like Him and transformed into the same image, from glory to glory. This is where our guarantee for success is, but we have to set ourselves apart to seek His face that we may see ourselves the way that He sees us and act accordingly.

The Word of God tells us that the trajectory of a child of God, a set apart one, gets brighter and brighter. We are better today than we were yesterday and we will be better tomorrow than we are today.  We need to reckon ourselves with the truth of the Scriptures, believe and confess the truth of God’s Word. “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 NKJV.

We need to reckon ourselves with the truth of the Scriptures, believe and confess the truth of God’s Word
