“Then GOD said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” – Genesis 1:26 NKJV

Let me just start off by stating that this week’s teaching raised an issue that I’ve had in my walk for years (since varsity days). Unfortunately, it has raised more questions than answers and I’m hoping GOD will reveal it soon, or any brethren I encounter on the corridors of this faith. So while trying to dissect this teaching and hopefully finding answers for myself, I can only hope that it may in some part reveal answers to you and help you in your pursuit of His divine nature. Christ while on earth was fully man, this is evidenced by the fact that He had temptations. We know GOD cannot be tempted so this proves that Christ while on earth was 100% man. Yet, the Bible says that He never sinned at all, while fully man like me. He went on to perform numerous signs, wonders, and miracles as a man. He then surrendered His will to fulfill His mandate on earth. Tortured and assaulted as a man He continued to be obedient to His assignment. He did all this while He was 100% man.

Prophets Elijah and Elisha also men like me walked with the LORD and performed many miracles. Though they were partaking of a fleeting glory, they were very fruitful. They didn’t have Christ living on the inside of them, and the veil was still intact, yet still effective and productive. They had an amazing fellowship and relationship with the LORD and are the envy of every believer, still under the temporary glory. In Genesis GOD said, “Let Us make man in Our image and likeness. Let them have dominion on earth”.  We were made like GOD which is why we were given dominion on earth. The fish and the birds couldn’t have dominion because they weren’t made in His image and likeness. So we were intentionally made like this so that we could be one with the LORD. Our nature is divine and potentially limitless and because of this, righteousness and holiness are in us, it is who we are. The enemy may try to dribble and trick us into thinking that we aren’t worthy, but we know who we are (do we really know though?).

Jesus while walking past the fig tree that He had previously cursed didn’t look to see what had happened to it yet His disciples looked to see if anything had happened. Why didn’t He look? Could it be that His divine nature had enveloped Him and what He spoke and declared was unquestionable? What would happen in our lives if we had a revelation of our divine nature and started walking in it? Christ as man performed scary miracles within a three-year period yet when He left He said we will do even more. What did He mean by it? He had three years to do what He needed to do, while some of us have been Christians and walking in our “divinity” for decades. What have we really done with our gifts? What would happen if we realized who we really are, and started walking in our divinity?

To quote a smarter man than me who said “There is a difference in knowing the path, and walking in it”. What would it mean to the world and our daily lives if we started embracing our divinity? GOD has freely given these gifts and promises, the thrombus that’s halted the flow is from our side. “For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. ” Ephesians 2:6 NLT. What does it truly mean to be seated with Them in the Heavenly realm? If a man like Apostle Paul (thorns and all) can be taken up to the third Heaven, see and hear things that He isn’t permitted to utter, what about me? What is it about his revelation, faith, and posture that allowed him to partake in such? He is under the latter glory just as I am. These are things that are treasures, hidden and destined to be unearthed by the thirsty and hungry (Matthew 13:44).

What have we really done with our gifts? What would happen if we realized who we really are, and started walking in our divinity?
