Sunday Message Summary, 17 July 2022
We often overemphasize material blessings, but there are far weightier matters of grace that Jesus died for, more important things that GOD has given us. Jesus came and died for something much bigger. Those that are believers in the LORD are blameless before their Father (Romans 5:1 AMP). We are without spot or wrinkle. This is the righteousness which has been imputed and imparted to us. We have been justified and declared blameless, acquitted of sin and all its consequences. The grace of GOD declared us holy, righteous, faultless, and above reproach (Colossians 1:21-22 NKJV).
Christ, through His death, brought about reconciliation, peace, and acceptance with GOD for us (Romans 5:18, 21 NLT). The one act of Jesus Christ resulted in right standing with GOD and eternal life. We therefore no longer have enmity with GOD, but we have entered into an everlasting relationship with our Father. We have now received reconciliation with GOD, and we have an eternal relationship with Him, never to be separated from Him. Jesus has made it impossible for any of us to be separated from GOD eternally. Even death itself cannot separate us. We therefore have no fear whatsoever of falling off the grace of GOD because He has done everything already and it is permanent.
Now that Jesus died for us while we were sinners, and through His death we were declared righteous, it is certain that we shall be saved from the wrath of GOD, eternal condemnation, judgment, and death (Romans 5:8-10 AMP). What was due to us was condemnation resulting in eternal damnation, but eternal damnation is not the portion of those who believe in Christ. The free gift of GOD is eternal life to mankind through Christ Jesus (Romans 6:22-23 NLT), and this cannot be changed by anyone or anything. We have certainty of salvation because we live with Jesus, who dies no more (Romans 6:8-10 NLT). We have passed from death to life, and we are heirs of eternal life.
We have certainty and surety – we shall never, ever die. As believers, whether our bodies die or continue living does not matter, because we do not die (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 NLT). The Gospel says that Jesus died once for all, so death has expired and has been made irrelevant (2 Timothy 1:9-10 NKJV). Death no longer has any effect on a child of GOD. If we live in Christ, death is no longer a factor over us (John 11:26 NLT). Jesus has given us victory over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:54-57 NLT), as He has broken the power of sin and death over our lives. We are therefore not compelled nor forced to do wrong.
We must understand the free gift we have been given and stand our ground when the floods of temptations and trials come. Everything Jesus has done cost Him everything, therefore we should not be moved. We must be steadfast and immovable, not afraid of anything, not moved or shaken or taken by alarm (1 Corinthians 15:58 NKJV). What GOD has said, GOD will do. The work of salvation that GOD has begun in our lives, He will finish it (Philippians 1:5-6 AMP). GOD has given us His power freely to keep us from falling from the faith (Jude 1:24 AMP), so we must continue steadfast in the faith and stand our ground.
Jesus has made it impossible for any of us to be separated from GOD eternally.
