He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions – Psalms 107:20.
The word of God is a working force or grace. He sends His word on errands to do His bidding. Cursing or blessing is done by the word of our mouths. A curse or a blessing must be pronounced with the mouth, or at times it’s just a thought. A word from God saves, heals, delivers, restores, blesses and protects. It’s very important to notice that a word from God must be spoken in order to operate. The one to whom it’s sent must first believe, for example Luke 1:45 says, “Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord.” When we believe the word of the Lord sent to us it shall be fulfilled. There’s no other way.
Some people have vast deposits of the word of God in their spirit, but may still not benefit from it. The Lord Jesus says that a good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things. This is to say that a child of God out of the good treasure of God’s word in their spirit creates and brings to pass good things by speaking them forth in faith. This is wisdom according to Proverbs 20:5. We have to speak the word of the Lord no matter our situations or circumstances.
His word concerning you and I is forever settled in heaven, it’s unchangeable. It says He has blessed, and not cursed us. He’s given us life and immortality, and not death. He has healed us and delivered us from all destructions. When you put Proverbs 20:5 and Jeremiah 29:11 you’d realize that God has thoughts and plans to prosper and give us an awesome future, but we must draw them out by believing and speaking the word. Brethren, we’re believing, speaking, creating spirits.
