Double For Your Trouble

Double For Your Trouble

The LORD blessed the last part of Job’s life even more than he had blessed the first. Job owned 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 2,000 head of cattle, and 1,000 donkeys – Job 42:12 GNB.

This Scripture is taken from the last chapter of the book of Job, after he had gone through all that he had gone through. If you can read in the first chapter Job had 7,000 sheep, 3,000 camels, 1,000 head of cattle and 500 donkeys, the word of GOD tells us that Job received ‘double for his trouble’. GOD knew what Job was able to handle, and He allowed it because what he went through was GOD’s way to double Job’s wealth.

The Word also tells us that we will not be tested beyond our power to remain firm and at the time of the test GOD will give us strength to endure, He will also provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). What is it that you are going through that you don’t see a way out? Has GOD not already made provision for your situation in His Word? GOD has commanded us to be strong, to be of good courage, to not be afraid or dismayed for He is with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9).

“But He knows the way that I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous],” Job 23:10 AMPC. GOD is faithful, your situation or test is just the right measure for you, He knows exactly what you’re able to bear and will not put more on you than what you’re able to bear. Stay the course, GOD will give you double for your trouble.
