Look Up!

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple – Isaiah 6:1.

“I look up to the mountains; does my strength come from mountains? No, my strength comes from GOD, who made heaven, and earth, and mountains. He won’t let you stumble, your Guardian God won’t fall asleep. Not on your life! Israel’s Guardian will never doze or sleep. GOD’s your Guardian, right at your side to protect you— shielding you from sunstroke, sheltering you from moonstroke. GOD guards you from every evil, he guards your very life. He guards you when you leave and when you return, he guards you now, he guards you always,” Psalm 121:1-8 MSG

This is the Year of Rising, elevation is preceded by humility (James 4:6), many a time we have our trust in our jobs, businesses, qualifications, contacts and even family members. We have confidence in our security systems and our burglar bars at home but the word of GOD tells us that unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. This is the year where we have to look up to GOD, this is the year GOD is putting the things we have put our trust in to death. This year we will see the LORD high and lifted up if we seek Him.

Take heart child of GOD, your challenges are not to be considered strange, they are here to humble you and put you in the right place for GOD’s elevation. GOD has said it’s the Year of Rising, and He will fulfill what He has promised. Nothing good has ever come out of the comfort zone, so when you are overwhelmed or in pain, you are in the right place. Look up!
