Your Story Is Not Over! Wait On GOD!

“On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, “Let us cross over to the other side.”” – Mark 4:35

Has GOD given you a promise or spoken into your life? Wait on Him to perform His word because if He said it, with Him it’s already done, it’s just a matter of waiting for the manifestation. The word of God in Isaiah 60:22b says “At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Waiting is one of the most difficult things to do because our human nature wants everything NOW. One thing that I know for sure is that if GOD had given us a timeline to when the promise would come to pass, waiting would be a lot easier but it wouldn’t require much faith. 

“He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:29-31 NKJV). GOD is fully aware when we are tired and feel like we can not face another day, that’s why when we feel like this we should draw closer to Him. He gives us the strength to keep going, to keep trusting, to keep hoping. He’s there to pick us up and to urge us to keep going. 

When I look at the story of Lazarus, who died, and the three Hebrew boys who were thrown in the fiery furnace, it just further proves that GOD is not bound by time. GOD in both these stories, true stories, by the way, showed up after the fact. When everyone was ready to go home and call it a day. I mean, Lazarus had been dead for 4 days, the funeral is done, they’ve comforted the family, even the after tears is done, it’s time to get back to their lives, but GOD! If Jesus has promised you that you are going to the other side, no matter what storm comes, if you have not reached the other side, your story is not over. Your story is not over, everything that happened was so that GOD may be glorified (John 11:4), the people who came to mourn, comfort, or even mock you will soon see a miracle of God in your life.
