A Life Poured Out

A Life Poured Out

“For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” – II Timothy 4:6-7 NKJV

Kumi, wrote on her status sometime last week that she wants to live a life poured out. That really spoke to me about how we still have a choice whether we want to die full of the gifts, and everything GOD has entrusted us with for His Kingdom’s sake or whether we want to die empty, having given our all. The late Dr. Myles Munroe has a famous quote, that says something along the lines of, “The richest place in the whole world is the graveyard because that is where you will find unwritten books, sermons that haven’t been preached, gifts and treasures that people have died with.” In essence, so many people die, not having achieved a fraction of what GOD has put on the inside of them.

In the above Scripture, Apostle Paul says that he has been fully poured out and that he is ready to die having given his all. How many of us today can say that we want to live a life poured out? Or are we happy just to have the above Scripture quoted at our funeral, knowing very well that it’s not true? While we still have breath in our lungs, we still have the opportunity to ask GOD for the grace for us to live a life poured out, for Him. This particular life is not easy, it will require a daily death but what an honor to be able to say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith”.

“Those who live to bless others will have blessings heaped upon them, and the one who pours out his life to pour out blessings will be saturated with favor.” Proverbs 11:25 TPT. Start today, start where you are, pour yourself out, and you will be saturated with God’s favor. You might lose a lot of stuff, friends, and family along the way but keep the faith!  “And we know [with great confidence] that GOD [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love GOD, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.” Romans 8:28 AMP.

Start today, start where you are, pour yourself out, and you will be saturated with God’s favor.
