“For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” – Luke 12:48b NKJV
GOD believes in us more than we believe in ourselves and it’s because He knows what He has put on the inside of us. I believe that one of the reasons the devil is so fixated with us Christians is because he knows that if we were to find out what we carry on the inside of us and how powerful we are as a unit, his kingdom would be in trouble. So he comes at us with distractions, condemnation and divisions, sadly, while we are fighting amongst ourselves, people are dying and souls are going to hell on the daily and some of these people are our loved ones.
We have received power, ability, efficiency and might when we received the Holy Spirit so that we may be witnesses for Jesus (Acts 1:8), Jesus will not expect us to do anything that He has not empowered or equipped us to do so there’ll be no excuses when the day of reckoning comes. The mandate is clear, ours is to submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit, the body/the church and the God-given leadership for us to be equipped for the work already prepared for us. We cannot expect to make disciples if we ourselves have never been discipled and the kingdom of God grows by discipleship. We are discipled so that we can disciple others.
“You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.”(John 15:16 AMPC). Many are called but few are chosen, we all want to be chosen but being chosen comes at a price, this price is death to self and raised to a new life of power, but this power is not without responsibility and to whom much is given, much will be required.
The mandate is clear, ours is to submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit, the body/the church and the God-given leadership for us to be equipped for the work already prepared for us
