There is a difference between being self-made and being God-made; when you are God made you will have to endure the small beginnings. I believe it is in the small beginnings that we really get to know God and walk with Him as we should while He makes things happen for us. This scripture however makes it clear that God is not in a hurry.
The things of God take time and will require patience. This is where a lot of people lose their way and decide to make things happen for themselves because ‘God is taking too long’. The most important part of anything built is its the foundation, and it’s the foundation which will determine how long something will last and if it will be able to stand the storms that come along the way.
I’ve learnt from my journey in the faith, that the more you delight yourself in the Lord, the more He makes things happen and everything becomes a breeze because it’s no longer in my own power or might but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
