That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death – Philippians 3:10 ESV.
“You shall have many troubles in this life but don’t stress because I have overcome the world,” this is one of my favourite Christ’s sayings that tells us who we are in Him. Because He lives in us we also have overcome. This assurance comes from His risen power. His resurrection empowered us to always come out victorious in any situation. When He arose He took away the power of sin over our lives and handed to us power over sin.
No power of the enemy can reverse or overshadow what the resurrection power has done. Galatians 5:1 tells us to stand firm because we are always victorious and must never let ourselves be intimidated or shaken by distractions from our foe. We stand firm because our Lord has overcome all that came His way and He gave us the same power.
“Only let us live up to what we have already attained,” Phillipians 3:16 NIV. What He has attained is victory through His resurrection. Oh, that we may know the power of His resurrection! This is only just a glimpse of knowing the power of Christ’s resurrection and its full implications.
